Toddlers Union Categorically Rejects “Quiet
Time" Proposal.
Larry Jacobs, a Chicago attorney representing the National Union of
Toddlers (“NUT”), stated that his union categorically rejects
the “Quiet Time Proposal,” and any “Naptime Proposals”
put forth now or in the future also risk rejection. Several union members
described such proposals as “mean” or “yucky.”
Instead, the union offered its own contract outlining more liberal “juice
and animal crackers” guidelines along with a three- week extension
of birthday time.
The Union later voted to fire acting president Timmy Maikowski, and
replace him with longtime advocate for Union rights: “Elmo.”
Several reasons were stated for this abrupt change in Union leadership
including Elmo’s extensive knowledge of fun songs, his dancing
ability, and his remarkable knowledge of the location of various body
parts. Elmo had the backing of most Union members and his leadership
bid was sponsored by the letters “D” and “G”
along with the number “4”.
