Fundamentalist Christian Too Polite to Bring up Friend’s
Impending Eternal Damnation
From http://www.mikeszine.com
Steven Michaels, an actuary at Middle Springs Insurance, is too polite
to bring up his personal belief with Brijesh Binda a friends and coworker
that he expects will be damned to hell for his pagan beliefs. “Pastor
Rick is always saying that we have to be the light of God in the lives
of sinners,” stated Michaels. “Don’t get me wrong.
I really like Brijesh or I wouldn’t eat lunch with him. I certainly
don’t want the flesh ripped from his bones by harpies, and I
would never want to see him burn in the pits of Satan’s lair
for all eternity. “I just never realized how hard it is to find
a good way to tell someone that they are headed for hell.”
Steven estimates that a full 98% of the workers at Middle Springs
are likely to burn in hell but has had a difficult time addressing
the subject. “I invited Brijesh to church a couple of times,
but he just laughed a little and changed the subject back to the Bengals’ chances
for the Super Bowl. I’ll have to figure out something new.“
